Teachers and Classrooms

Whether your child is experiencing a long-term hospitalization such as that for a spinal cord injury or severe burn, or is an ongoing outpatient with occasional short hospital stays, Shriners Hospitals for Children^® believes their schoolwork is a top priority.

All of our hospitals have teachers on staff who are available to help children with homework during an outpatient visit, or maintain their ongoing schoolwork during a multi-day stay. Some of our hospitals also have classrooms where children who are long-term inpatients can go on a regular basis to keep up with their class work.

Our licensed teaching staff is able to assist with grades K-12, and will work closely with your child’s school to ensure that he or she is staying on track while they are here.
