(SACRAMENTO) Lloyd Harvego, the owner of Sacramento’s landmark Firehouse Restaurant, presented Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Northern California with a check for $25,000 during a visit to the hospital on August 17, 2011. The gift included proceeds from a very special Dine & Donate program, where 15 percent of revenue generated at The Firehouse from August 7 – 13 was donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California.
“We are honored to have been part of a fundraising partnership with Shriners Hospitals,” said Lloyd Harvego, owner of The Firehouse. “It is in times like these that philanthropic giving is crucial to help non-profit organizations thrive. We are pleased to support Shriners and their mission to care for children.”
“Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California is incredibly grateful to Lloyd Harvego and his team at The Firehouse Restaurant," said Alan Anderson, the hospital's director of development. "Their generous gift helps to assure our ability to treat every child who requires treatment for orthopaedic conditions, spinal cord injuries, burns or scars from any cause.
