Mark Niederpruem Named Hospital Administrator

Mark NiederpruemShriners Hospitals for Children® — Chicago welcomes Mark L. Niederpruem, FACHE, as hospital administrator.

Niederpruem served as hospital administrator at Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Springfield from 1993 to 2011, where he was instrumental in initiating new services and adopting technology to improve the quality of patient care. He has served on multiple Shriners Hospitals for Children national task forces, influencing the improvement of services for the system.

Prior to joining the Shriners Hospitals for Children health care system, Niederpruem served as assistant vice president of The Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

Niederpruem holds a master’s degree in public administration and is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives. He is a member, former president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Springfield, Mass. He was also a board member of the Ronald McDonald House – Springfield and board member of Partners for a Healthier Community.
