Plan Your Visit
We realize your presence during your child’s stay at the hospital is very reassuring, so we encourage one parent/guardian to stay at the bedside. We provide a single cot, bed linens and shower facilities for the parent staying.
For other family members who would like to stay close to the hospital during your child’s stay, your care coordinator can answer any questions you may have about housing in the area surrounding Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Cincinnati.
Family members staying at the hospital may use the laundry facilities located on the second floor in the Family Care Unit. Laundry detergent is available from our Family Services/Care Coordination office.
Parent Shopping Van
Volunteers are available on Saturday afternoons to provide transportation to a nearby department store.
Hospital security provides on-site service 24-hours a day.
Our cafeteria is operated by Morrison’s Food Services and serves a hot breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Snacks, beverages, sandwiches, salads and desserts are also available throughout the day. They accept cash and credit cards.
Cafeteria hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
To have a meal with your child, you may purchase your meal in the cafeteria and take it to your child’s room. If your child is able, you may bring your child with you to the cafeteria.
Vending and soda machines are also available throughout the hospital.
