The medical staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Honolulu is equipped and staffed to care for children with congenital orthopaedic issues, problems resulting from orthopaedic injuries, and diseases of the bones, joints and muscles. The hospital staff also treats patients with healed burns who, as a result of those burns, may have developed orthopaedic complications, scarring and deformity of the limbs.
The hospital is also an academic teaching and research institution, and partners with teaching programs including the University of Hawaii Pediatric and Orthopaedic Residency Programs and Lutheran Medical Center Dental Residency Program.
