Our Mission
Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Portland, is a 29-bed pediatric orthopaedic hospital. Here we treat children with a host of orthopaedic and neuromsuskuloskeletal conditions, and cleft lip and palate. Our family-centered approach to care is designed to support the whole family during the acute and reconstructive phases of a child’s injury. Located in Portland, Oregon, our hospital treats children from all over the country and around the world. We have unique relationships with some of the top hospitals and universities in the world.
Our mission.
Shriners Hospitals for Children has a mission to:
- Provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment.
- Provide for the education of physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct research to discover new knowledge that improves the quality of care and quality of life of children and families.
