Thursday, June 28, 2012

Symetra Employees Volunteer at Shriners Hospitals for Children    Volunteers with Symetra Life Insurance Company take time out with Lee Freniere of Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Symetra team volunteered their time at the pediatric specialty hospital as part of a company sponsored service week.

On June 28, five employees from Symetra Life Insurance Company in Enfield, Conn., graciously volunteered their time to Shriners Hospitals for Children® — Springfield by sanding and painting the railings in the outside courtyard. Symetra encourages employees to give back to their local community by participating in a company sponsored “service week,” where each day of the week employees select a different charity help.

Erika Gore, Yolanda Centeno, Suzanne Brenner, David Nickolas and Becky Kraus all expressed an admiration for  Shriners Hospitals for Children. Suzanne added the reason she selected Shriners Hospitals was to honor the exceptional care her son received at the Chicago hospital. The team from Symetra works  with insurance and disability claims, so they very focused on health, wellness and getting people back to living their fullest life, a sentiment that Shriners Hospitals exemplifies every day.
