Special notice regarding measles outbreak in Chicago area

The measles outbreak in a daycare center in the Chicago area is a public health concern, especially for our pediatric facility. We need to be diligent in protecting our patients, families and staff. Beginning Monday, Feb. 9, we will require all patients coming to us for services to be immunized against the measles unless there is a documented medical contraindication. In addition, visitors to all areas of the hospital must be 18 years of age and older.
