Shriners Hospitals for Children is here to help. We’ve made referring a patient, or obtaining an appointment for your child, very easy.
Our health care system offers care for a variety of conditions. To learn more about these specialties, and what each of our 22 locations can provide, please visit our website, shrinershospitalsforchildren.org. Once you determine which location will best serve your needs, simply call the appropriate intake number to request an appointment. All appointments are prioritized on the basis of medical need. If an intake representative is not immediately available, please leave your name and contact information and an intake representative will contact you within two business days.
Please note that while Shriners Hospitals for Children does not require a physician referral, some insurers may require them, or have additional requirements for certain medical care. Please also be aware that while referrals and assistance from our Shriners are welcome and greatly appreciated, it is not necessary to have a connection with a fraternity member to receive care – all decisions are based on the child’s medical need, and our ability to provide effective assistance.

If you wish to request treatment for a child who is not a resident of the United States of America or its territories and possessions, Canada, Mexico, Panama or Puerto Rico, please complete the Request for Treatment form (available below) and submit it to one of the Shriners Hospitals for Children locations. A hospital representative will provide instructions for any additional information required.

In an emergency, the referring physician treating a child with burn injuries should telephone the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston, Cincinnati, Galveston or Northern California and indicate that there is a patient needing emergency burn care.
