Basic Life Support (BLS) for the health care provider

Basic Life Support (BLS) training reinforces a health care professional's understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking and using an AED; and the role of each link in the chain of survival.

This program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics and other health care personnel whose occupations require managing seriously ill adults, children and infants.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

PALS is a course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms and effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

The PALS course is for health care providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others.
