If this is a planned admission, you can expect a phone call from your care manager one to four weeks prior to your admission date. If for some reason you find it necessary to cancel this admission, please let your care manager know as soon as possible. A pre-admission appointment may be scheduled before your admission date.
We will try our best to make your child’s stay with us as easy as possible. Please plan to arrive at the time designated on your admission notice. You will be met by the admission nurse and nurse practitioner, who will review your child’s health history. Although the health history review may seem repetitive, your answers help us provide your child with the best care possible.
Each patient is assigned a nurse to care for him or her. The nurse will show you and your child around the floor and hospital. You may have many questions about the hospital, your child’s appointment/surgery and the care that your child will be receiving. The nursing staff is always available to provide you with the information you need.
