Joshua Pahys, M.D.

Joshua Pahys, M.D. is an orthopaedic surgeon for Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received an undergraduate degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University where he was also a member of the men’s basketball team. He earned a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Pahys completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center and a fellowship in adult and pediatric spine at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Pahys include pediatric spinal deformity, pediatric cervical spine, spinal cord injuries, infantile scoliosis and revision spinal deformity surgery.

Dr. Pahys is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is also a member of the Harms Study Group, Children’s Spine Study Group, Pediatric Cervical Spine Study Group, and a board member of the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society. He serves as the residency and fellowship director for Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia. He is active in research and has authored numerous publications, book chapters and presentations.
