For more than 90 years, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City has been providing world-class orthopaedic care to children in the Intermountain West (including Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico; and Chihuahua and Sonora, Mexico), regardless of the families' ability to pay. We treat a wide range of orthopaedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders in a safe, supportive and high-tech setting, with a family-centered care approach. Every member of our exemplary medical staff – as well as our multidisciplinary professional team – is dedicated to helping children achieve their best quality of life.
Within the wide range of orthopaedic and neuromusculoskeletal disorders we treat, we are particularly sought out for our expertise in spine conditions, hip disorders, neuromuscular abnormalities (such as cerebral palsy, myopathies, neuropathies and Down syndrome), angular deformities – both congenital and traumatic (such as limb length deformity), and rare congenital syndromes with orthopaedic implications.
Our partnership with the University of Utah Orthopaedic Group has allowed for additional resources, research partnerships and more comprehensive care for our patients. For the third consecutive year, we received the U.S. News & World Report top pediatric orthopaedic ranking! We are ranked #16 in partnership with Primary Children's Hospital for 2016–2017 top ranked hospitals.
