Mary Jo Pedulla, MS, RN, NE-BC

Mary Jo Pedulla, MS, RN, NE-BC, is the director of patient care services/chief nurse executive at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston. Mary Jo is an experienced nurse leader with over three decades of progressive nursing leadership, development and quality implementation in patient centered programs. Mary Jo has held a number of leadership roles during her extensive career working in acute care hospitals, specifically managing inpatient pediatric services, pediatric and neonatal ICUs and high-risk obstetrical units. Her concentration has been focused in the area of maternal child health. 

Most recently, Mary Jo was a key nursing leader on the senior leadership team at Boston Medical Center where she served as associate chief nurse/senior director for maternal child health and interim chief nursing officer. She had responsibilities for strategic oversight involving quality improvement, regulatory compliance and integrative nursing and was a transformative leader in a multiyear maternal child health service initiative.  

Mary Jo received a Master of Science in health management from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from University of Rhode Island. Mary Jo is currently board certified as a nurse executive. Her professional affiliations include Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing, Institute for Health Improvement, Organization for Nurse Leaders and American Organization of Nurse Executives.
