The health and safety of our patients, families and staff is our highest priority. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is requiring hospitals to meet established criteria as part of the state’s reopening plan. The Boston Shriners Hospital completed its Phase 1 attestation on May 27, 2020, and its Phase 2 attestation on June 15, 2020 and its Phase 3 attestation on July 13, 2020. Seeking parents of burn survivors for research study

Colleen Ryan, M.D., FACS, and the burn outcomes lab at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston are researching burn injury outcomes in children between the ages of 1 and 5. The Preschool LIBRE (Life Impact Burn Recovery Evaluation) Study is working to develop a computer-based questionnaire to assess the impact of burn injury on child health. This study will evaluate different health outcomes related to children’s physical and social recovery after a burn injury.

We are looking for parents who have a child under the age of 5 to take a one-time survey to help us with our study goals.

Please call Gabby Grant at 617-371-4929, or send an email if you are interested in joining the study, or want to learn more.
