Thank you for thinking of Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston. It is because of the generosity of donors like you that we are able to bring Love to the rescue of our patients every day. Below, please find a list of our most immediate needs, as well as some tips for making the donation process as easy as possible. Your gift will make a direct impact on the life of a child. Again, thank you for your generosity, compassion and kindness.

0-24 mos: Infant/toddler

  • New stuffed animals with sewn on eyes
  • Twilight Turtles/plush soothers
  • Gentle Giraffes

  • Pacifiers and teethers

  • Medium-sized todder toys (light up toys, cause and reaction toys, music makers)

6-10: School-age

  • Lego kits (varying difficulty)

11-16: Teenage

  • Advanced Legos/building projects
  • Intricate craft/beading kit

  • VHS Tapes
  • Sports/trading cards
  • Collectible stamps
  • Large ride-on items
  • Used medical equipment
  • Books in English

For your consideration:

  • Please contact us in advance to schedule and discuss your donation at 617-371-4807.
  • Due to infection control regulations, we ask that you please donate only new toys, games and clothing.
  • Games and books that depict violence, as well as toy guns and projectile toys are not accepted.
  • Arts and crafts materials must have the non-toxic seal (AP, CP, health label non-toxic).
  • Because of some patients’ sensitivities, please buy non-latex toys. This includes: balloons, Koosh balls, rubber stamps, rubber balls, rubber erasers, etc. Mylar balloons and vinyl items are encouraged.
  • If toys require batteries, please include alkaline batteries with your donation.
  • Please contact us prior to donating candy or food.
  • Please do not wrap gifts.
  • Patient privacy regulations prevent us from allowing donors to personally distribute gifts.
