Kathryn Hess, MS, CCC-SLP

Kathryn “Kate” Hess is the lead speech-language pathologist in the rehabilitation services department at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Chicago. Her primary roles at the Chicago Shriners Hospital include performing consultations, evaluations, treatments and screenings for patients. She also serves as the speech representative during weekly interdisciplinary rounds. Kate’s areas of clinical expertise include speech disorders, language disorders and early childhood development.

Kate has worked in a variety of pediatric settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, early intervention and schools. Kate has also had a variety of clinical and managerial roles throughout her career.
