Tracy O'Brien, RTR

Tracy O’Brien, RTR, is the director of radiology for Shriners Hospitals for Children — Chicago. She works closely with staff members and administration to provide the highest quality imaging services to our patients. After working for nearly two decades for Shriners Hospitals for Children, first as a staff radiologist and now a director, Tracy believes in the mission and vision of Shriners Hospitals for Children because she said it closely reflects how she lives in her daily life.

She has made it her pursuit to continue to find the best methods for lower patient radiation doses. The Chicago Shriners Hospital’s low-dose EOS machine and digital radiographic/fluoroscopic rooms are part of the hospital’s commitment to the Image Gently campaign supported by many national pediatric radiology groups, to provide radiation as low as reasonably achievable, to protect young patients’ future health.
