Motion analysis center

Motion analysis center

The motion analysis center located inside Shriners Hospitals for Children — Chicago, provides motion analysis to children and uses the data collected to help doctors provide the most effective care for each patient. The center's staff has seen nearly 2,000 children since opening in 1989 and performs more than 300 examinations a year. State-of-the-art motion capture technology is used for these evaluations, research and education.

The motion analysis center participates in Tech4Pod, a consortium of educational and medical institutions dedicated to using technology for pediatric orthopaedic disabilities. They are also committed to providing this technology to children with pediatric orthopaedic conditions in developing countries around the world.
