Shriners Hospitals for Children launches Team No Limits

Unique partnership with Spartan Kids Foundation provides opportunities for kids to overcome obstacles

Shriners Hospitals for Children launches Team No Limits

Overcoming obstacles is something patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children are accustomed to doing. Now, thanks to a unique partnership with Spartan Kids Foundation, they will take on obstacles at Spartan Races across the United States as part of Team No Limits.

“Team No Limits gives kids the opportunity to run, jump and climb through the obstacles of a Spartan Race. At Shriners Hospitals for Children, we know our patients can conquer any challenge,” said Stephanie P. Herron, chief development officer for Shriners Hospitals for Children. “Through our mission to provide specialty care to children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate, children discover there are no limits to what they can accomplish. Competing in a Spartan Race with Team No Limits puts that discovery into action.”

Patients, families and staff from the Twin Cities Shriners Hospital will be the first members of Team No Limits, competing in the Minneapolis Spartan Race on Saturday, June 9, at Welch Village. Races in Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston and Tampa will add more team members.

“Spartan Kids Foundation is excited and proud to partner with Shriners Hospitals for Children. We want to inspire all kids to be active and have fun. Team No Limits will create confidence in kids who face difficult challenges every day,” said Spartan Kids Foundation Co-Director Daniel Goldstein.
