Shrine Shoot raises $66,000

The 16th annual Shrine Shoot raised $66,000 for Shriners Hospitals for Children — Cincinnati. More than 200 participants attended the two-day event, held September 9–10 at the Sycamore Gun Club in Miamiville, Ohio.

The Shrine Shoot has raised more than $750,000 since its inception. David Todd, founder of the event, presented a check to the hospital’s Board of Directors at the September 27 meeting. Funds will be used by the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital Research Unit, to focus on pediatric wound healing, immunology, inflammation and infection and nutrition. “This event is in honor of my parents, and continues their legacy of supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children,” said Todd. “Both believed deeply in supporting this amazing organization.”

The physicians and staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Cincinnati provide specialized treatment of pediatric burn injuries, cleft lip and palate, complex wound and skin conditions, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. Its family-centered care is provided regardless of the families’ ability to pay.
