Summer camp

The staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Cincinnati believes that a child with a burn injury deserves the same opportunities available to all children. Camp Ytiliba (pronounced ya-til-i-bah) offers children who sustain a burn injury, the chance to experience summer camp. Under staff supervision, the camp provides activities like fishing, horseback riding, raft trips, swimming, crafts and nature programs. Children accept new challenges and build confidence and self-esteem. In this week-long residential camp program, children make new friends and renew old friendships.

Members of the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital staff join campers and serve as counselors. In this unique environment, campers and counselors share a week together where patients get to see the hospital staff in a new light and staff see firsthand, the difference their efforts make in the lives of the children.

Sponsoring Shriners, Shrine clubs and units, and Shrine ladies organizations support the camp program.
