Patients and families are encouraged to share questions and concerns with the care teams.
Please notify us within three weeks of the surgery admission date if your child experiences symptoms of infectious illness, including fever, cough, rash, vomiting, diarrhea or any suspected/known exposure to chicken pox, measles or any other contagious disease/condition. Call our outpatient clinic at 713-793-3752, Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. A nurse will talk with you about these concerns.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany your child on the day of admission. If someone other than the biological parent(s) holds legal guardianship, please bring guardianship papers with you to the hospital. If custody is granted to one parent by the courts, a copy of this court order will also be needed for our records. The papers must be in English. If you do not speak English, please contact your care manager so we can provide an interpreter for you.
