Since the founding of our hospital in 1952, treating pediatric orthopaedic conditions has been at the center of our care. Though the diseases and disorders we treat are wide-ranging and diverse, our goal is to foster and maximize the social, physical and psychological development of our patients
Our comprehensive team of musculoskeletal experts includes three surgeons, a pediatrician, physical and occupational therapists, and certified orthotists and prosthetists. Collaborating across multiple disciplines allows us to treat each child with a customized approach based on their overall health and medical conditions.
Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS) – West LLC, in the Pasadena Shriners for Children Medical Center is a regional leader in scoliosis and clubfoot bracing. The POPS team has more than 175 years of combined experience designing braces, artificial arms and legs, and other adaptive devices for children. Occupational and physical therapists help children regain strength, skills, abilities and independence as they guide young patients on how to use adaptive devices and walk on their new legs.
At Shriners for Children Medical Center, we believe in family-centered care. Here, the child and family are at the heart of our medical team. Every treatment we choose, every decision we make is geared toward each child becoming as healthy and independent as possible.
We employ a team approach to patient care, surrounding the child and family with a multidisciplinary group of professionals. We provide a comprehensive assessment and our experts work in consultation with each other to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.
