Shriners Hospitals for Children — St. Louis is a specialized hospital offering volunteer positions in our child life, outpatient, public relations and development departments, as well as opportunities to serve as a front desk concierge and tour guide. Volunteer placement is based on matching your abilities, interests and availability with the needs of our hospital. Volunteer shifts run Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. We cannot guarantee open positions all the time, but we work hard to align your talents and interests with your volunteer position to ensure a meaningful volunteer experience.
Groups sometimes provide one-time activity sessions for our inpatients or in our hospital clinic. If you are a group looking to volunteer, please contact our volunteer coordinator whose information may be found at the bottom of this page.
If you are interested in applying to become a volunteer you may download a Volunteer Application. Applications may be printed, completed legibly by hand and mailed, or completed on the computer and e-mailed to our volunteer coordinator, Breanna Wyman.
If an appropriate volunteer position is available, you will be contacted for a phone interview. If no appropriate openings are available when your application is received, we will keep your application on file for three months.
