Shriners Hospitals for Children — St. Louis provides a variety of specialized plastic surgery care, including treatment for cleft lip and palate, to meet each patient’s unique needs.
Our pediatric plastic surgeons provide care that allows children with abnormal growths and scars to regain normal body function, prevent health problems and improve their appearance. Care extends to children with congenital abnormalities, as well as children living with wounds, scars and disfigurements caused by burns and accidents.
Two Washington University School of Medicine surgeons – Dr. Kamlesh Patel and Dr. Alison Snyder-Warwick – have joined the staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children — St. Louis, to offer a weekly outpatient clinic for plastic surgery evaluations and perform minor surgeries at the St. Louis Shriners Hospital that don’t require intensive care unit stays. (In those cases, the procedures will be performed at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.)
Other conditions not listed above will be considered on an individual case-by-case basis with consideration given to the expert care provided by this and other Shriners Hospitals for Children. If, during the referral/inquiry process, our clinical team determines the patient’s needs would be best met at another Shriners Hospitals for Children, we will refer the patient to the appropriate hospital.
