Support services

At Shriners Hospitals for Children — Erie, care is delivered in a patient/family-centered model, which means the patient and family are the focus. In addition to medical care, we have the following support services and accommodations:

Waiting room activities

Child-friendly activities are held in the outpatient waiting room. These include structured and unstructured activities such as arts and crafts, video games, books, music events and more.

Internet access

WIFI access is available in the outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Center waiting rooms and the food court. Please request assistance from a staff person for login information, if needed.

Interpreter services

Shriners Hospitals for Children — Erie offers interpretive services for you and your child. It is vital to ensure that you have accurate information about your child’s care. We contract with local interpreters and agencies to meet the needs of our patients and families. Care management staff work to ensure patient and family interpreting needs are identified and met.
