Carlos J. Jimenez, M.D.

Carlos J. Jimenez, M.D., provides general burn surgery at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Galveston. He is associate professor critical care/trauma surgery in the department of surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Dr. Jimenez is board-certified in surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery, American Society of Critical Care and American College of Surgeons. In addition, he is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and American College of Surgeons.

His current research projects include participation in the vitamin E study for the airway support in inhalational injuries, participation in the assisted computer model for resuscitation of burn patients, algorithm for close monitoring faculty and fellow notification for nonresponders and participation in The Glue Grant study for burn patient survival.
