Plan your visit

We realize your presence during your child’s stay at the hospital is very reassuring. We encourage one parent or guardian stay at a child’s bedside. Sleeping accommodations, shower facilities and laundry are provided for caregivers staying with their keiki.

For other family members who would like to stay close to the hospital during their child’s stay, your care manager can answer any questions you may have about housing in the area surrounding Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu.

The on-site family center may also be available for neighbor island and international patients who are receiving care on an outpatient basis. The family center can also accommodate a patient’s parent or guardian. Patients from outside O'ahu, please ask your care manager about rides from the airport to the hospital and rides from your hotel to the hospital.

Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu offers free on-site parking for patients and other hospital visitors. The visitor parking lot is located on the mauka (northeast) side of the hospital. You can access the lot from Punahou Street.


From Leeward O'ahu

  • Take H-1 freeway in the eastbound (Diamond Head) direction
  • Take the Punahou Street off-ramp
  • Turn right into the hospital driveway

From East Honolulu

  • Take the H-1 freeway in the westbound (Ewa) direction
  • Take the Wilder Avenue exit
  • Turn left onto Punahou Street
  • Turn right into the hospital driveway

From Waikiki

  • Travel north (mauka) on Kalakaua Avenue
  • Turn right onto S. King Street
  • Turn left onto Punahou Street
  • Turn left into hospital driveway
