Yolanda Wu, M.D.

Yolanda Wu, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu. She received both her undergraduate degree and medical degree in her home state at the University of Michigan. Dr. Wu completed her pediatric residency training at the University of California at Los Angeles, where she also served as chief resident. She worked in private practice in California for a few years before moving to Oahu in 2003.

Dr. Wu has been a pediatrician at the Honolulu Shriners Hospital since 2003. She is also a member of the community pediatrics division at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, serving as a pediatrician in the hospital’s outpatient clinic and as a hospitalist in the newborn unit. Additionally, she is an assistant professor for the department of pediatrics at John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Dr. Wu has a special interest in oral health and childhood obesity prevention.

Outside of hospital walls, Dr. Wu loves to travel. She has been to 49 states and every continent besides Antarctica. She is fluent in Taiwanese and Mandarin, and can also speak conversational French and medical Spanish. Dr. Wu is a self-described soccer mom. She and her husband, Dean, are proud parents of their two boys, Kyle and Trevor. In her free time she enjoys playing the piano, watching the Big Bang Theory and trying out new recipes.
