$1 million campaign for Hawaii's safest imaging system

Honolulu Shriners Hospital to be first in Hawaii with EOS imaging

With your help, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu will acquire the state’s safest imaging system for children. The EOS Imaging System is a Nobel Prize-winning technology that will produce life size, whole body images with up to 85 percent less radiation compared to conventional X-rays. This is important because children with scoliosis and other orthopaedic spine conditions are required to have many X-rays during their lifetime to monitor their condition.

  • High quality images: Our medical staff will have access to the most accurate diagnosis through full-body (standing or sitting) 3D modeling in order to maximize patient surgical and rehabilitative outcomes.
  • The Honolulu Shriners Hospital will be the first hospital in the entire Pacific Basin to offer this level of care to children.

Projected cost: $1 million
