Shriners Hospitals for Children — Houston honors DAISY Award recipients

Shriners Hospitals for Children — Houston honors DAISY Award recipients

The DAISY Award is an honor given to nurses for providing extraordinary nursing care. Nominations come from our patients, their families and our staff. In recognizing the skillful and compassionate care that nurses provide, the DAISY Award perfectly embodies the Shriners Hospitals for Children mission of providing the highest quality of care to children and their families within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment. We are grateful for this opportunity to recognize all of our DAISY nominees and award winners.

This year the recipients of the DAISY Award and the DAISY Leader Award from Shriners Hospitals for Children — Houston are Christina Moore and Cathy Moniaci, respectively.

Moore received nominations from colleagues and a patient family. She has been with the Houston Shriners Hospital since 2003.

Moniaci was recognized for her leadership role as hospital administrator. She has been with Shriners Hospitals for Children — Houston for over 20 years and became administrator in 2014.
