Therapists at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Houston carefully select and distribute games and toys to our patients year round. You and your group can help by adhering to the following recommendations for toy selection:

  • Please, no used items. Due to infection control regulations, we ask that you donate only new toys, games and stuffed animals. Safety is the most important consideration when accepting toys.
  • Games and books that depict violence, as well as toy guns and projectile toys are not accepted.
  • Please contact us prior to donating candy and food.
  • Please do not wrap gifts.
  • Patient privacy regulations prevent us from allowing donors to personally distribute gifts.
  • Art and craft materials must have the non-toxic seal (AP, CP, Health Label Non-Toxic).
