Patient services

At Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center — Lexington, professionals work in partnership to ensure that patients benefit from the finest pediatric care with a focus on ensuring the convenience, comfort and confidence of children and their families.

Board-certified physicians with pediatric orthopaedic expertise perform initial evaluations and ongoing care at the hospital. Physician office visits and outpatient surgery are all provided at the Lexington Shriners Medical Center by a team dedicated to caring for children. Patients benefit from the collaborative approach to care fostered by the ability of physicians, nurses, therapists, dietitians, orthotists and other professionals to work side-by-side.

Diagnostics, orthotics, prosthetics, and physical and occupational therapies are provided in the same building.

Each patient is assigned a care manager who assists the family and ensures care received at the hospital is coordinated with services provided at home.
