Our professional team will ensure you receive appropriate education regarding your child’s condition, treatment and ongoing care needs. Patients and families are encouraged to share their questions and concerns with the care teams.

Health precautions

If your child experiences a fever, cough, rash or redness of the skin, itching of the body/scalp or lice, sore throat, vomiting or diarrhea, exposure to chicken pox, measles or upper respiratory illness, within 7–10 days of your admission date, please call your care manager. If you are unsure of who your care manager is, call Melanie Angel at 859-268-5681 and she will assist you.

Guardian requirements

A parent or legal guardian must accompany your child at all times while receiving care at Lexington Shriners Medical Center. If custody is granted to one parent by the courts, a copy of this court order will also be needed for our records. The papers must be in English. If you do not speak English, please contact your care manager so we can provide an interpreter for you.
