Cary H. Mielke, M.D.

Cary Mielke, M.D., is the chief of staff for Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He graduated summa cum laude from Macalester College and received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Dr. Mielke completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at the University of Utah and Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Mielke include hip dysplasia, orthopaedic trauma, foot reconstruction and angular deformities of the lower extremity.

Dr. Mielke is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and holds medical licensure in Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. In addition to his work at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities, Dr. Mielke has appointments  at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, and is involved with pediatric orthopaedic outreach efforts to Guatemala.
