Peter D. Kim, M.D.

Peter Kim, M.D., Ph.D., is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities. He is board eligible with the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He received an undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. in molecular biology and biochemistry from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed a neurosurgical residency at SUNY Syracuse, and was a visiting resident at Boston Children's. He completed a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh (UPMC Children's).

Areas of special interest to Dr. Kim include craniofacial disorders, hydrocephalus and spasticity.

Dr. Kim is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
