Thomas G. Mason, M.D.

Thomas G. Mason, II, M.D., is a pediatric rheumatologist at Mayo Clinic and Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities. He is triple board certified in rheumatology, internal medicine and pediatrics by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics. He received an undergraduate degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and earned a medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine. Dr. Mason completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics from West Virginia University Hospitals, and completed a fellowship in rheumatology and immunology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Mason are childhood rheumatic diseases especially JIA, localized scleroderma and rheumatology education.

Dr. Mason is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, Minnesota Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Board of Internal Medicine – Rheumatology Section. He is also a chair of the section of rheumatology, department of pPediatrics and adolescent medicine and an associate professor of medicine and of pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
