Orthopaedics

Orthopaedics

For over 90 years, we have served our mission specializing in only one thing; pediatric orthopaedics. The diseases and disorders we treat are wide-ranging and diverse. Whether we are treating bone deformities such as clubfoot, neuromuscular conditions such as cerebral palsy or genetic anomalies such as achondroplasia, our goal is to help each child become as functional and healthy as possible. We are a regional leader in pediatric orthopaedics, serving seven states and three Canadian provinces.

Sports injury care

Our services include a sports medicine program, which includes treatment and rehabilitation of the injury. See the sports injuries page for contact information, hours and a list of injuries treated.

Management of orthopaedic conditions

We provide surgical and nonsurgical management of pediatric orthopaedic conditions with state-of-the-art techniques. In addition to orthopaedic care for sports injuries in children, we provide specialized multidisciplinary teams for rare orthopaedic conditions.

Other conditions not listed above will be considered on an individual, case-by-case basis with consideration given to the care provided by this and other locations in our health care system. If, during the referral/inquiry process, our clinical team determines a patient’s needs would be best met at another Shriners Children's location, the patient will be referred.

Collaborative approach to care

The specialists at Shriners Children's Twin Cities provide a comprehensive approach to meeting each child’s individual needs through specialized evaluation and treatment. Working with families, every child is evaluated by a team of professionals who coordinate the child’s treatment. All care and services are provided regardless of the families’ ability to pay.

Not only will your child’s medical needs be met by our care team, we also have programs to meet their social and emotional needs through camps and activities. Learn about some of the camps we offer on our YouTube channel.
