Specialized plastic surgery

Specialized plastic surgery

Shriners Healthcare for Children — Twin Cities provides a variety of specialized plastic surgery care that meet patients’ unique needs. Our pediatric plastic surgeons provide care that allows children with abnormal growths and scars to regain normal body function, prevent health problems and improve their appearance. Care extends to children with congenital abnormalities as well as children living with wounds, scars and disfigurements caused by burns and accidents.

Conditions treated with specialized plastic surgery:

  • Birthmarks
  • Breast reduction
  • Ear reconstruction
  • Hemangioma
  • Burn scar releases (no acute burn care)

Other conditions not listed above will be considered on an individual, case-by-case basis with consideration given to the specialized care provided by both Twin Cities Shriners Healthcare and other Shriners Hospitals for Children. If, during the referral/inquiry process our clinical team determines the patient’s needs would be best met at another Shriners Hospitals for Children, the patient will be referred.
