Blount's disease

Blount's disease is a developmental disorder of the proximal tibia that encompasses two types: early onset and late onset. If this disease is diagnosed before 3 years of age, conservative treatment in the form of bracing is generally tried first. Presentation of Blount's disease after 3 years of age, or progression despite bracing, is usually an indication for surgery.
