$1 million campaign for Hawaii’s safest imaging system
Honolulu Shriners Hospital to be first in Hawaii with EOS imaging
With your help, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu will acquire the state’s safest imaging system for children. The EOS Imaging System is a Nobel Prize-winning technology that will produce life size, whole body images with up to 85 percent less radiation compared to conventional X-rays. This is important because children with scoliosis and other orthopaedic spine conditions are required to have many X-rays during their lifetime to monitor their condition.
High quality images: Our medical staff will have access to the most accurate diagnosis through full-body (standing or sitting) 3D modeling in order to maximize patient surgical and rehabilitative outcomes.
The Honolulu Shriners Hospital will be the first hospital in the entire Pacific Basin to offer this level of care to children.
