Specialized care for children adopted from Chinese orphanage builds confidence

Care is a family affair

Tamera and Bryan Wong say Shriners Hospital is to thank for their big family, or as they say, “Team Wong." Braxton, Bayley, Blythe, Beka-Joy and Bella were adopted from a Chinese orphanage. Each has a complex medical condition that has required specialized care.  All have been treated at the Northern California Shriners Hospital in Sacramento.

“I will never forget our first visit,” Tamera says. “We felt like royalty. The doctors quickly provided us with education and options, hope and help, compassion and confidence. Because of the help and assistance, our children’s diagnoses do not define them. They know they can overcome their challenges.”
