Andrew L. Freedman, M.D., FAAP

Andrew L. Freedman, M.D., FAAP, is a pediatric urologist at Shriners for Children Medical Center — Pasadena. Dr. Freedman is also the director of pediatric urology and a member of the Department of Surgery and the Urology Academic Practice at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Freedman is certified by the American Board of Urology with an additional prestigious certification in pediatric urology. Dr. Freedman earned his bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed his residency and served as chief resident in urology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Center for Health Sciences. In addition, Dr. Freedman completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children's Hospital of Michigan.

Dr. Freedman has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Urology, Urology Practice, Pediatrics Urology and Science Direct. Dr. Freedman is an ongoing reviewer for medical journals, including Pediatrics, Journal of Urology and Journal of Pediatric Nephrology and Urology.

Areas of special interest to Dr. Freedman include minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of pediatric urological disorders, including laparoscopy and the treatment of neurogenic incontinence.

Dr. Freedman is a member of the several professional organizations, including the American Urological Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Pediatric Urology and Society of Fetal Urology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
