De-An Zhang, M.D.

De-An Zhang, M.D.

De-An (Andy), Zhang, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist at Shriners for Children Medical Center in Pasadena, where he is dedicated to excellence in patient care and is passionate about patient education.

Dr. Zhang received his medical education from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During his time at Wake Forest University, Dr. Zhang served as a supervisor to second-year medical students providing physical examinations and aid to underserved populations.

Dr. Zhang has published multiple research presentations and posters on opioid-sparing medication protocol, decreasing pain, and length of hospital stay in children undergoing posterior spinal instrumented fusion for scoliosis. His experience as a dedicated father makes him an extremely compassionate caregiver for children undergoing surgery.

Dr. Zhang is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologist and the California Society of Anesthesiologists
