It is Christmas in July at Shriners for Children Medical Center

The event, now in its fifth consecutive year, is coordinated and sponsored by the Shriners from the El Bekal Shrine Center and the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine of North America. More than 700 gifts were collected a couple of weeks ago during the Christmas in July Annual Toy Drive that benefits the children at the Shriners for Children Medical Center in Pasadena. Santa Claus’s team of little helpers, which included the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, visited the patients to deliver the toys and gifts this past week on behalf of those who donated.

When the children saw Santa, it was magical. There was a long line across the second-floor waiting room to meet Santa and take a photo with him. We had a little over 40 patients and families, and thanks to our volunteers, the event was a success. The children left happy, with huge smiles on their faces.
