Because kids and teens are not small adults, it is important to have timely access to pediatric orthopaedic providers who specializes in growing bones. We look forward to helping your child or teen get back to their activities and sports in a timely fashion. Comprehensive pediatric injury care services are available under one roof, including onsite X-ray services.

Our streamlined process makes it easier for families to visit the pediatric fracture clinic and sports injury care clinic. No prearranged appointment is required. This service is offered Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays.

Fracture referral guidelines:
  • Children and adolescents up to age 18
  • Patients with open fractures or life- or limb-threatening conditions should go to an emergency room

We are in-network with many insurance providers. We provide all medical care regardless of the families' ability to pay.

What to bring to your first appointment:
  • Parent / guardian photo identification
  • Insurance card
  • Guardianship/custody documents if applicable
  • X-ray on DVD and medical note if you have it
  • Medications and dosages list (including over-the-counter and herbal medications)
  • Immunization documentation (if available)
  • Primary care physician contact information
  • Referring physician contact information

Rehabilitation

Therapy and rehabilitation are essential to recovery from injuries at the Philadelphia Shriners Hospital. Physical and occupational therapists collaborate with patients and families to tailor patient-specific rehabilitation goals.

In addition to the Philadelphia Shriners Hospital, fracture care is available on Tuesday and Thursday at our Doylestown office, 599 West State Street, Suite 305 @ The Pavilion Doylestown, PA 18901 valet or self-parking is available.
