David T. Polner

David T. Polner

David T. Polner is the Chairman of the Board of Governors at Shriners Hospital for Children — Salt Lake City. Mr. Polner retired after 21 years in the U.S. Army as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Prior to retirement in 2015, he was on the anesthesia staff at the Hayden VAMC in Phoenix, Arizona. He received his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Medical College of Georgia, a master's in health care administration from Webster University in Webster Grove, Missouri, and his anesthesia degree from the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences. 

His favorite thing about being on the Board is first and foremost being able to support and care for the kids, saying, “One of the biggest joys of serving on the BOG is to see the children’s smiles and unbounded energy when they are at Shriners Hospitals for Children.”

Mr. Polner enjoys fly fishing, time with his family and caring for his animals.
