James Knackstedt, CPO

James Knackstedt, CPO

James Knackstedt, CPO, is the director of Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic Services (POPS) – West, LLC, and a certified prosthetist and orthotist at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. 

James graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in life sciences and a minor in fine arts, and pursued his post graduate education at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, receiving training in both orthotics and prosthetics, and completed his orthotics and prosthetics residency at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

He enjoys all aspects of pediatric orthotic and prosthetic care, including scoliosis treatment, orthotic management of the lower limb, and upper and lower limb prosthetics. In his free time he enjoys hiking with his wife, child and dogs, camping in the desert and spending time outdoors.
