Sonya Rees Mansfield, D.P.T.

Sonya Rees Mansfield, D.P.T., is a pediatric physical therapist at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. She has enjoyed working at Shriners Hospital since 2000 and has loved being a pediatric physical therapist since 1988.

Sonya received her bachelor’s degree and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah. She has treated patients with a variety of ages throughout her career starting at Primary Children’s Hospital working in the inpatient rehabilitation, acute care and outpatient settings.

For five years, she loved working in the early intervention setting at Kids on the Move until she saw an opening to evaluate walking patterns at the movement analysis laboratory at the Salt Lake City Shriners Hospital. After being in the lab for five years, she is now doing therapy in the inpatient and outpatient setting at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City.

She has her NDT eight week and baby certifications and is Schroth certified for treatment of scoliosis. She enjoys treating children of all ages and working with their families.
